1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence - QB, Clemson
Reported by ESPN as the “most polished QB since Andrew Luck,” it’s no secret that the Jaguars need to fix their offensive line. The solution? None other than Trevor Lawrence to save the day. Lawrence should be one of many in the NFL draft to fix the Jaguars offense.
2. New York Jets: Zach Wilson - QB, BYU
The New York Jets have had their eyes on Wilson since March, doing what they can to make sure they lock in on him during this year’s draft. Like with the Jaguars, the Jets desperately need an offensive boost for the upcoming season.
3. San Francisco 49ers (from Miami Dolphins via Houston Texans): Justin Fields - QB, Ohio State
Like the first two teams of this year’s draft, the 49ers are no strangers to needing a rebuild at offense. I would not be surprised if they took a look at other offensive prospects, but it may make the most sense for the 49ers to take a shot at a QB while they can.
4. Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Pitts - TE, Florida
The Falcons have Matt Ryan, so I think by now it wouldn’t make much sense to try to get a QB pick in the draft. That being said, it would be nice to see the Falcons build around Ryan. Kyle Pitts, a tight-end out of Florida, would be a perfect choice for Ryan’s abilities.
5. Cincinnati Bengals: Penei Sewell - OT, Oregon
The Bengals need - well a lot - but they specifically need to build protection around 2020 first-round QB pick, Joe Burrow. What better option than Penei Sewell, offensive lineman who also played left tackle at Oregon? If the Bengals want to be successful next season, it would be best to do right by Burrow and build around him - with protection and flexibility.
6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles): Ja’Marr Chase - WR, LSU
Trading up, thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles, is a huge boost for the Dolphins, giving them to elect Ja’Marr Chase, wide receiver out of LSU. It’s also possible that Chase could go to the Bengals and reunite with Burrow, however, the Dolphins just as badly need a wide receiver and are likely to pick one in their first round, sixth pick.
7. Denver Broncos (from Lions): Trey Lance - QB, North Dakota
I think it’s very likely that the Broncos will pick a QB in their first round. They need one, and I’m forever an advocate for the idea of younger talent mixed in with iconic, seasoned veteran players. It’s likely that with the other QBs going earlier, that Lance will be left and the Broncos will pick and that Lance will most likely fit in.
8. Carolina Panthers: Rashawn Slater - OT, Northwestern
I think the Panthers are going to be another wildcard. Like the Broncos, they could definitely benefit from anyone at this point considering the big-name quarterbacks will be picked sooner. I do think they could go with someone more specific, such as Caleb Farley, cornerback from Virginia Tech, should he be available.
9. Detroit Lions (from Broncos): Jaylen Waddle - WR, Alabama
The Lions need a wide receiver, and Jaylen Waddle’s impeccable talent and skill set could definitely provide some threats to the Lions offense. They are one of the few teams I could see trying to trade up to get better options, but trading from the Broncos was not a good start. Waddle is most likely going to be available, and the Broncos should jump on this opportunity.
10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain II - CB, Alabama
The Cowboys have had a rough season this past year with its conference being the worst in the league and Dak Prescott’s devastating injury ending his season. Because I believe Prescott will be coming back in the next season, I don’t see an issue with building around him. Patrick Surtain, the cornerback out of Alabama, is going to provide the skills and protection needed that I know Prescott is going to enjoy.
11. New York Giants: Jaycee Horn - CB, South Carolina
The Giants are favored to pick DeVonta Smith, wide receiver out of Alabama, according to NBC Sports, however, I think they’d be smart to pick up cornerback Jaycee Horn from South Carolina. Whoever they decide to go with, it's safe to say that one of these two younger players will provide some security on the Giants' offense.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami Dolphins via San Francisco 49ers): DeVonta Smith - WR, Alabama
The Eagles are under major fire right now for their risky offseason moves. This is a “wishful thinking” pick, but I believe DeVonta Smith, the wide receiver out of Alabama, would be a crucial pick for the Eagles in their rebranding and rebuilding seasons ahead of them. Smith is young, he is skilled, and he can act as a deep threat for the incoming seasons - all things that the Eagles desperately need.
13. Los Angeles Chargers: Christian Darrisaw - OT, Virginia Tech
Christian Darrisaw, OT/OL out of Virginia Tech would very well complement the talents of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, and the Chargers will most likely be able to secure Darrisaw in the middle of the first round.
14. Minnesota Vikings: Azeez Ojulari - Edge, Georgia
The Vikings need an edge, and I'm going with them picking Azeez Ojulari, he's skilled and just the player the Vikings need to keep from ranking low in sacks and pass rush again.
15. New England Patriots: Mac Jones - QB, Alabama
I would love to see the Patriots try to trade up to get a QB in the first round as I don't see them having many options for QB if they aren't in the top 5 or 10.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Micah Parsons - LB, Penn State
Arizona is currently without a third or fourth round pick, so they need to really make some moves where they can. Picking Micah Parsons, very talented linebacker out of Penn State, would be a great start for the Cardinals.
17. Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah - LB, Notre Dame
The Raiders are one of many teams in the NFL rebuilding their O-line. Theoretically, anyone left at this point would be safe for the Raiders, however, they need a linebacker. I want to see them pick Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, linebacker out of Notre Dame. Then in the following rounds, start to build the offense.
18. Miami Dolphins: Najee Harris - RB, Alabama
Like I've said, younger players is the way to go - especially on offense. I want to see the Dolphins continue to build their offense, their defense is pretty much alright.
19. Washington Football Team: Greg Newsome II - CB, Northwestern
Provide threat on offense and the WFT is on their way to building a great offense under the direction of Riverboat Ron. (Coach Ron Rivera)
20. Chicago Bears: Rashod Bateman - WR, Minnesota
The Bears need help on offense, and Rashod Bateman is just the guy to get the job done. I feel like Bears QB Andy Dalton will enjoy throwing to Bateman.
21. Indianapolis Colts: Samuel Cosmi - OT, Texas
The Colts are on to something, and I could see them trading up to get better options, but I can't rule out that they could be looking at Samuel Cosmi, OT out of Texas.
22. Tennessee Titans: Terrace Marshall Jr. - WR, LSU
I'm not sure what to expect with this pick from the Titans, but I know help on the offensive line would be a huge help. Terrace Marshall Jr., wide receiver out of LSU is my guess.
23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks): Travis Etienne - RB, Clemson
Helping build on this younger offense, Wilson and Travis Etienne could be a powerhouse on Jets offense. Could the Jets really go anywhere at this point? Probably. But that doesn't mean they should.
24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Teven Jenkins - OT, Oklahoma State
The Steelers are in a pretty decent shape on defense, but their offense could use some help. Teven Jenkins, OT from Oklahoma State, might be the safe choice for now, given the Steelers' place in the first round.
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams): Alex Leatherwood - OT, Alabama
As mentioned earlier, the Jaguars should take the opportunity to build stronger and younger on offense. However, Coach Urban Meyer strongly believes in building your team around defense. Personally, I disagree. I think it would be logical to build around your new quarterback. Young QB and young OT/OL is a great pairing in the first round. The Jaguars are in dire need of change, and right now, something should be done to their offense. For these reasons, Alex Leatherwood from Alabama is a good fit.
26. Cleveland Browns: Alijah Vera-Tucker - OT, USC
I don't know how likely the Browns will be able to trade to get an earlier pick to get the help they need, so I'm thinking they'll pick Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT out of USC, for the time being and hope for the best in the next rounds.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Kadarius Toney - WR, Florida
There's a method to my madness, but I feel like the Ravens might pick up a weapon for Lamar Jackson. Kadarius Toney, wide receiver out of Florida, would be the most logical pick given the Ravens 27th pick in this first round.
28. New Orleans Saints: Elijah Moore - WR, Mississippi
The Saints QB coming up is going to need weapons if they stand a chance. Elijah Moore is the answer. Young, skilled, fast, and a great overall wide receiver out of Ole Miss who's only downside is size.
29. Green Bay Packers: Jamin Davis - LB, Kentucky
Jamin Davis is an explosive inside linebacker out of Kentucky that would provide deeper threat to the Packers defense.
30. Buffalo Bills: Kwity Paye - Edge, Michigan
I don't have my doubts that the Bills will have Kwity Paye only if they move up, as Paye is an incredible edge. However, I do think if the cards play out right, the Bills will be able to pick Paye at their 30th pick.
31. Baltimore Ravens (from Kansas City Chiefs): Pat Freiermuth - TE, Penn State
The Ravens should make use of these almost back-to-back picks, They don't need to work on offense, but I think adding depth wouldn't hurt. Pat Freirmuth, dangerous tight end out of Penn State, is who I see the Ravens picking in the first round.
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Joseph Ossai - Edge, Texas
The Buccaneers are in pretty good shape following their Super Bowl LV win, meaning they could do anything with their 32nd pick. If he’s available, I’m thinking the Buccaneers should take Joseph Ossai, the edge from Texas. Coach Bruce Arians wants to get faster and more physical on defense, as well as get someone to help out behind Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul. It truly is a toss-up, and I’m strongly going with Ossai for the 32nd pick in the first round.
