The Cape May Fish Market, located on the Washington Street Mall in Cape May, New Jersey, is a small restaurant that provides big service! My parents and I stopped here to eat as a backup option because where we wanted to eat wasn't serving dinner yet, and I'm so glad we took a chance on this restaurant. Keep reading to hear the full breakdown of the review of the Cape May Fish Market.

What I Ordered:

Bay Fries with Cheese Dip (Appetizer)

Cobb Salad (Main)

How Expensive? $$$

Initially, I didn't think I would be a fan because the name of the establishment is literally "fish market," however, it looked like a nice place to eat. (I'm not a seafood person.) We were greeted by someone who graciously took our request of eating outdoors, but in the shade. After sitting down and looking at the menu, they had a lot more to offer than just seafood/fish.

We were greeted by an awesome waiter who introduced us to the Fish Market, as we've never been there before. He offered to answer any questions we had as well as offered recommendations.

We got our food pretty quickly, even with the restaurant at as full capacity as probably possible. First came out the bay fries with cheese sauce and the appetizer my mom ordered. Both appetizers were excellent and had enough to save for leftovers (which we did.) Then came out the rest of our food, it was absolutely so so good, My cobb salad was fresh and full of flavor. It was so filling that I couldn't finish it. The portions this restaurant served were bigger than average - and what we expected.

Considering the quality of the food, how big the portions were, and how quickly it was served, the total price of the food was pretty reasonable.

Final Verdict: I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a nice restaurant in a beautiful town after a day of shopping on Washington Street Mall, hitting the boardwalk, or going to the beach. For more information and to see the menu for the Cape May Fish Market, click here.
